I love to write. I love to teach. I love to preach. I do not like to shop. I do not like to talk on the phone. I do not like riding in the back. I’m a night person. I find amusement parks boring. I find beaches boring, except after dark. I like mountains. I like snow.
I love rain. I’m glad the sun exists, but I hate hot weather. I’m a bit of a neat freak. I don’t get upset about “things”–mine or in general. I’m intense about moral issues, about things eternal. I laugh a lot, often at the wrong time. I cry more than I’d like to admit. Sometimes I laugh and cry at the same time. I’m unpretentious. I like unpretentious people.
I’m pretty low-maintenence, but I can be scary when I’m mad. Fortunately, I don’t get mad much anymore. I’m married to the most patient man I’ve ever met. I like him. I like most people, but I really like him.
I teach high school English. I also teach Sunday school (grownup Sunday school; I can only take small children in small doses). I’m a mom (no, I didn’t mind large doses of my own small children). I’m a stepmom (that wasn’t as easy as it sounded). I’m a grandmother (they are my favorite small children). And I’m a friend and confidant to some of the best people on the planet. I like being alone. I’m not alone much. I can deal with that.
If there’s anything else you’d like to know, shoot me a message.
Thanks for stopping by. Be careful out there.
